1. COVER REQUIREMENTS & SIZING

GymGuard® PVC–coated polyester fabric as made by CoverSports USA.

3. FLOOR COVER CONSTRUCTION

Fabric sections shall be thermally welded with an approximate 1" wide heat-seal seam, meeting the seam strength requirements in MIL-T-82288-B.

4. WARRANTY

__Years pro rata against material defects and seam workmanship equivalent to CoverSports warranty.

5. SAMPLE

A minimum 6" x 6" sample shall accompany the bid.

6. BIDDER QUALIFICATIONS

The bidder shall supply a list of at least 8 similar installations in the past year, including name, contact person and telephone/fax numbers.

GymGuard® Bid Specifications – Safety Storage Rack
for Gym Floor Covers

 

1. RACK REQUIREMENT

  • ___Rack(s) as manufactured by CoverSports USA to hold ___ sections of GymGuard floor covering

2. SAFETY STORAGE RACK CONSTRUCTION

  • Standard rack: Size – 34-1/2" wide x 12' 6" long x 67" high (to hold 10' wide covers)
  • End sections – 11–gauge steel A frame type
  • Center supports section – 14–gauge round support pipes connected by 3/4" x 1/4" steel support trusses, mig welded
  • Brackets – All steel with Delrin roller bearings and mig welded to end sections
  • Aluminum safety collars and yellow security bars – each bracket shall have a steel safety roll lock device to prevent the steel pipes from accidentally popping out, falling out
  • Steel roll-up pipes –14–gauge galvanized steel with one guide pin at each end
  • Fabric clips – 3 plastic C-clips to hold fabric securely to the roller
  • Hand cranks – 2 brushed aluminum cranks to be supplied for fabric wind-up
  • Wheels – (4) 8" diameter urethane non-marring type wheels with foot locks on each wheel
  • Blue vinyl end caps to protect from sharp edges
  • Premier Rack: size – 58-1/2" wide x 14" long x 67" high (to hold 10' wide covers)

Bid Specifications – GymGuardTM Brush Assembly

 

1. REQUIREMENT

An adjustable brush assembly to sweep debris from the topside of gym floor cover fabric as it is wound onto the mobile storage rack.

2. BRUSH ASSEMBLY PROPERTIES

  • Housing – A steel housing that fits inside the frame of the mobile storage rack and is adjustable.
    The housing can be attached easily to either side of the rack with wing nuts.
  • Brush – 144" in length consisting of black nylon 66 bristles with an overall trim length of 4 inches.
    The brush has an aluminum spine that is fastened to the steel housing.
