Protecting your investment in a newly refinished or existing gym floor is a wise decision. In addition to sporting events, gymnasiums are often multi-purpose facilities – the setting for dances, registrations, banquets, plays and commencements. New gym floors can be costly, so it makes sense not to risk damage to this valuable part of your facility.

Two people can easily deploy a GymGuard gym floor cover system over your entire gym floor within 30 minutes, providing you with the assurance that the floor will be safe from potential damage and helping to protect your investment.

How to choose the right
GymGuard gym floor fabric for your floor

GymGuard gym floor coverings come in five standard weights. In order to recommend the most cost-effective GymGuard floor tarp for your application, we need the following information:

Size of gymnasium floor area to be covered: length x width?
How many times will you cover and uncover your gym floor per week/month/year?
What type of functions will you have on the covered floor?
Do you have a color preference?

Gym Floor Cover Sizing – the 10-foot solution

GymGuard covers are constructed in 10'-wide sections for easy handling. When figuring the size gym floor tarp you need,
we suggest adding 6"-12" for overlapping each section. (For example, for a 75' x 110' floor, order 8 sections
measuring 10' x 110' each.)

GymGuard Safety Storage Rack –
for easy lay-down and roll up

Our standard rack allows safe, fast and easy covering of the gym's surface. It is available in 6, 8 and 10 roller models (Special racks can be built to order.)

The Safety Storage Rack has been updated to an improved safety and usability standard. The standard features are:

Four 8" non-marking urethane, swivel-type wheels – can support up to 3,600 pounds of gym floor cover and rack
Yellow safety bar and aluminum safety collars – prevent the roller from popping out, side-to-side movement and accidental finger pinching
Blue vinyl end caps – protect from sharp edges
Safety brake – placement and design make it easy to lock all wheels in place
Rollers – 14-gauge galvanized steel and the entire frame is mig-welded, all steel construction


Safety storage rack	Aluminum safety collars prevent finger pinching. Yellow security bars stop roller pop-outs. Blue vinyl end caps protect from sharp edges.	Wheel brake: Four 8" non-marking, urethane swivel-type wheels allow for easy movement of rack. New design and placement of safety brake make it easy to lock the wheels in place. (Six wheels are available on the new Premier Safety Storage Rack.)

The new Premier Rack is an upgraded version of the standard rack that includes even more safety features:

Six 8" diameter wheels reduce risking damage to floor boards by distributing weight load and allow for easier rack movement
Safety leg extenders with two 3" wheels virtually eliminate the possibility of the rack tipping over
Storage trays hold items such as extra rolls of tape or the
power winder

Included with all racks:

2 hand cranks for easy winding
3 fabric clips per roller for securing cover to roller
Instructions for assembly and operation


Safety Leg Extenders have two 3" wheels on each side of rack, virtually eliminating the possibility of the rack tipping over	Storage/Carrying Trays allow tape and power winder to be transported with the rack. Storage space on trays keeps items off the floor and out of harm's way.

Two Hand Cranks come with each rack and allow for easy winding	Two people can easily deploy, roll up and store all of the cover sections, without any lifting – minimizing risk of back injury
